History

Valsoia was founded with the aim of exploiting the exceptional nutritional properties of soya to offer valid healthy eating solutions to the growing demand for wellness and wellbeing. Our aim from the very beginning has been to contribute to improving quality of life with healthy, wholly-plant-based alternatives to traditional foods but don’t sacrifice anything in terms of flavour, texture and overall excellence.

All in all, ours is a typically Italian story, combining the pleasures of life with a commitment to improving quality of life through innovation and creativity, ongoing investment in research and development and – last but not least - investments to support our products and brands.

MISSION

Committed to this mission, Valsoia first developed and marketed “milk”, oil, “desserts”, “burgers and cutlets”… and then gradually extended its product portfolio over the years to include “ice creams”, “yoghurts” and plant-based, lactose-free alternatives to spreadable cheeses, mayonnaise and cooking cream.

NATURATTIVA

The Naturattiva brand was created to develop a range of organic plant-based products for distribution through specialist food stores.

VALSOIA LISTED ON THE STOCK EXCHANGE

In 2006 Valsoia was listed on the stock exchange as part of the modernisation and growth of the company.

Today the Valsoia brand is a beacon in the health food industry chosen by over 4 million Italian families* and a household name recognised by over 60% of the Italian population.

SANTA ROSA

In 2011 the Santa Rosa and Pomodorissimo brands became part of the company. The acquisition strengthened our product offering with two leading brands, each with an established history in the Italian preserves and tomato purees and sauces tradition. It was a step that consolidated Valsoia’s role in line with our mission of providing high-quality fruit and vegetable products.

DIETE.TIC

In 2017, we added the sweetener Diete.Tic to our product portfolio. Launched in the late nineties, Diete.Tic owes its success to a unique patented formulation and high product quality. The acquisition of Diete.Tic was an important strategic step for Valsoia, enabling us to enter the sugar substitutes market with the liquid segment leader.

LORIANA

In late 2020, Valsoia bought the piadina flatbread specialist Loriana, founded in Italy’s Romagna province in the sixties. The Loriana acquisition strengthened Valsoia’s food division while bringing the opportunity to promote the virtues of a traditional Italian product at home and abroad.
